| Humen has the graceful natural scenes, the
abundant human views and tourist resources; it is witness of
prehistoric human history even more. In the village, numerous
famous historical sites, such as reservoir, mountain range,
sea beach, gun-deck etc are with an area of more than 170 km2.
Humen has "Humen eight old scene" and "Humen
eight new scene". All of them add much beauty to these
famous historical sites of Humen, especially the ancient battle
field of the Opium War (1840-1842) that make people recalled
what happened in that year. Weiyuan fort, Dananshan port,
shajiao port, up and down Hengdang port are still here. The
tourists coming to visit and admiration for the reputation
are in an endless stream, and annual more than over 1,500,000
domestic and international visitors receiving in Humen.
A famous one Humen bridge, titled "China first bridge"
cost 2,700 million, crosses Pearl River from east to west.
Japan trader, Australia financial group and Hong Kong large
company show appreciation for natural resource of Weiyuan
island, and plan to invest and build the multiple tourist
facilities, such as deluxe hotel, golf course, yachting, village
and villa district for holidays, etc. Taiwan wants to run
large-scale enterprise or comprehensive event of the service
industry.
